This thought had a significant impact on me and since then i have oft pondered - more often than not in my life I have personally suffered because I had been dishonest, more than to anyone else I had been dishonest to my own self the most, thereby harming myself exceedingly.
And now as I meditate upon it, I have found ever so deep and wide implications of the term and how pivotal a role it plays in our lives and how sometimes in such diverse n different ways it presents itself to us.
One basic similarity also I figured among all such virtues - how they are always present as an other alternative to us and no matter for how long we take to finally opt for them, we never can permanently abort the righteous alternatives.
WEll said!! :) Honesty is one of the most important virtues in my book. :)
ReplyDeleteBut then, barring a few basic virtues, for other things, what is a virtue for me might not be the same for you. As a friend had told me about what he read in a book by Dr. Amartya Sen, What is right in one corner of India, might be a sin in some other place!!
Nice 'Baby Blog'!! :)
